Getting shot doesn't make someone a hero. Please don't minimize the true meaning of this word. Saving someone's life or limb makes one a hero.

This cop was doing his job and trying to save his own life.

BTW, I hope she ran into a telephone pole and electrocuted to the point that she'll always have severe pain for many years. And her prison doctor cuts her off of pain killer. Oh, and she has to have a job in prison that's really hard.

EDIT: He is a hero to me because he did everything he could to de-escalate the situation. He is a great police officer

De-escalating a situation makes someone a hero? He did his job well. And was put in a bad situation by a POS do nuffin. That's a fact.
