I think the chances for the repubs is better if Trump doesn't start that 3rd party and whoever the GOP nominee is will be elected the next president. And I highly doubt that person will be Donald J. Trump; he made too many enemies and is in process of making even more enemies as we speak.

I think Trump has been struggling -- with age, let's say -- since the election, and I don't think he'll be running for anything in 2024 based on that. Re the thread discussion, I suspect in the next election the anti-Trumpers will get their asses kicked in most places, their movement isn't that strong. Assuming they do start a 3rd party. There might be some question on whether they could do a Perot and swing the election in favor of the Dems by slitting the conservative vote, I haven't seen any numbers on that though.

And the thing on principles and lies, please. Let's not pretend anyone has the high road here. I will allow my bias to show a little and say I think that when it comes to lying and principles, the democrats outdo the repubs. Democrat hypocrisy is legendary.
