The Dems strategy of abandoning both wokeness and COVID mandates is poorly times. For three reasons:

Yes, I get that even in far-left San Francisco, parents finally got fed up with being treated like interlopers for wanting to have a say in their kids' educations. I get that there will absolutely be a voter backlash against the COVID restrictions. But the strategy won't work.

1) First of all, the Squad is not going to go along with it. Having the Pelosi faction come out with a plan to re-fund police, to make sure parents have a voice in public schools and to drop the asinine mandates will cause AOC, Corrie Bush, et al, to denounce the "moderate" wing of the Democrats. Dems are in trouble for 2022 as it is. Dividing the party will make it worse. Better to keep pushing the wokeness and doubling down on the restrictions so at least the base will go to the polls.

2) The Biden faction isn't going along with it either. When it comes to COVID, Foul-chi still rules the roost at the White House and he shows no sign of wanting to loosen the iron grip he has the country in. This will lead to more questions for Psaki to dodge, along the lines of "Dr. Fauci insists that we must inch toward normalcy, while most leading Democrats are speaking out in support of lifting restrictions and returning to normal well ahead of the November elections. What does President Biden say to them?"

3) No one will believe it. Gone are the days when the Dems could lie like rugs and CNN would back them, leaving the voters unable to hear the truth. Foxnews, whatever you may think of them, gets way over four times as many viewers as CNN. Foxnews is right now about the business of deconstructing every Dem lie about how they always planned to start dropping the restrictions right about now, and that they never supported defending police.

A far better strategy would be to take their lumps in November, and publicly spin that the party in power always loses in the mid-terms, while telling the Squad privately (with appropriate leaks), that 2022 proves that the party must shift to the right to win in 2024. By leaking it, they put the squad in the position of needing to keep quiet to avoid being blamed for a Trump comeback.

Here's what's really going on. The Marxist left doesn't give a crap what anybody thinks or wants. They're busy perfecting their cheating machine so they will win every presidential election going forward. Then when they reach the critical tipping point, they will seize power overnight. We'll wake up and the networks will all be running the same Marxist message from the new 'leadership'.
