Democrats are making one final push to salvage the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program and establish protections for hundreds of thousands of immigrants before Republicans are expected to take control of the House in January.

The last-ditch effort comes amid a lame-duck period within the halls of Congress as Democrats prepare for the likelihood of ceding control of the lower chamber to the Republican Party. Democrats have long called for a permanent solution to the DACA program, which allows more than 830,000 immigrants, or “Dreamers,” who were brought to the United States as children, to live and work in the country without fear of being deported.

“We put proposals forth time and time again,” said Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. “But the election is now over. … Now, let’s do the right thing. Now, let’s roll up our sleeves and get this done.”

How about allow them to work here, but not allow them to vote here.
Do you think that the greedy corrupt Democrat Party really cares about these DACA people?
The Democrats just want to build their voter base.

Normal thinking people : "incentive causes more illegals. Maybe we should stop that!"
The Ds : "good point. We need to give them more incentive to come here illegally! We need voters!"
The Rs : "good point. We need to give them more incentive to come here illegally! We need to keep our donors like the chamber in commerce happy!"

Trump offered the Democrat turds a DACA solution if they would agree to secure the border but the sonofabitches didn't like it.

They want all these shitheads to flood into the country and automatically be citzens and sign up for welfare and vote Democrat. That is their DACA,

I am a conservative that fully supports allowing DACA's to gain citizenship. They did nothing wrong.

Business is not happy with the millions crossing the border. The market for unskilled labor was saturated months ago. The illegals now have just become part of the army of homeless. There are no jobs. There are no homes. Food is barely enough to survive and could not possibly be culturally acceptable to those from dozens of different lands and cultured.

The next step is to get angry at the way they were lied to and sieze survival any way they can.

You got to be kidding me
You mean businesses WANT homeless illegals joining the legions of domestic homeless.

The businesses at El Paso Airport aren't happy with the crowds of illegals who now make the airportv their home. Illegals have passed the saturation point.

I don't think it has a snowballs chance of overcoming a filibuster.

I'm for offering those who were underage at the time of their entry (and have stayed out of trouble ever since) being offered a pathway to citizenship. I am against that pathway offer to their parents, which the Democrats insisted upon during Trump's administration.
