Pretty simple. voting to include the rural areas and state is a great approach from the founding fathers, who are much smarter than anyone on this board.

The issue with raising the debt ceiling is pointless. There is no longer any choice. If they allow a default, the global economy may well go into depression or collapse altogether. Imagine the political benefit for the party that convinces the people their opponents caused the misery.

IMO, though, trying to toss out the EC would be worthy of civil war to protect. Those who don't understand its purpose still have no right to remove it without going through the constitutional amendment process.
