The interesting thing about these numbers is this...

Had COVID not slowed illegal immigration and it had keeping the same rate of growth as Trump's first 3 years, 2020 would have seen 1,504,638 crossings, which is pretty close to what we saw in 2021. Keeping the same rate of growth that Trump had his first 3 years 2023 would have seen 3,127,415 crossings...again pretty close to what we got.

It is almost as if neither party really cares about this issue.

Bullshit statistics. Trump wanted to seal the border with a WALL - which didn't even have to cover the entire border - only the areas that were more easily passable by illegals. He did what he was able -- the democrats said we didn't have even 5 billion dollars to build a wall - meanwhile they have given 100 billion to the Ukraine. (Believe they offered 2.5 billion - a joke) Democrats lied, but what else is new?

This is an opportunity, if it is taken, to confront him on liberty issues. If any at that convention are converted by Trump's speech they didn't belong there to begin with. I don't consider it a brilliant move, the same offer was made to Bidet, but it will bring some attention to the long ignored group. The last Libertarian potus candidate that I really liked was Harry Browne.

Yep. Based on rhetoric the Republicans are the party of fiscal responsibility yet they have nominated someone who is not only running on a platform of Entitlements being off limits but attacking any Republicans who at any time have talked about reforming them.

People give lip service to desiring fiscal responsibility but ultimately that takes a back seat.
