It can make you laugh until you cry then it can make you cry until you laugh.

When you realize the absurdity of the universe what can you do but laugh?

Children laugh 400 or 500 times a day but we adults who are all sucked into our self important worlds of ego laugh just a few times a day , sometimes not at all for days at a time.

When you realize that all the things we label as good, bad , right wrong, self and other are just arbitrary constructs perpetuated by the mind how can it all be anything but funny?

Is it time to stop taking everything so seriously?

Actually you mean , when you cannot unravel the apparent absurdity ----- it's time to laugh . imho.

It takes a huge number of incarnations to realise that consciousness flows from Universe ( its source is external) and that you need to first learn that and then learn how to use it and let it use you .

Then eternity starts to make sense and what it offers and will achieve .
Nothing whatsoever to do with organised religion .
