I posted these photos for the same reason I posted the photos in the thread about radicals - to show that the United States has survived and will survive.

Period.

That's a great positive attitude, but you're setting yourself up for a rude Awakening.

I doubt that.

While its true that racism and hate is very much out in the open, I suspect its always been there, hiding behind bed sheets. Its also true that a small segment of our society blames an entire religion for the actions of a few terrorists, most Americans know the religion is not the problem. Even more important is that most Americans believe our Constitution is sacrosanct, that we are all equal and that religion, gender and sexual orientation are personal and private.

Bottom line is that most America and Americans believe we should leave it to other countries to hate and punish those who are different from us.
