Let's get two key facts straight about the election: The center-right won the popular vote, not the center-left. The center-right candidates--Trump, Johnson, and McMullin--received 67 million votes. The center-left candidates--Hillary and Stein--won 65.1 million. And, Hillary will end up with less than 48% of the popular vote
Trump got 62.4 million.
Johnson got 4.2 million.
McMullin got 440,000.
Hillary got 64.6 million.
Stein got 469,000 voters.
Moreover, Trump buried Hillary in counties won: He won over 3,000 counties, while she won less than 200. Republicans kept control of the House and the Senate. Also, Republicans now control 31 governorships and control 32 state legislatures. It should be pointed out that you can't gerry-mander governors' races: they are elected by the statewide popular vote. So by a margin of 31 to 19, voters in the states have elected Republican governors.
So it is the center-right that clearly has a mandate to govern, not the center-left.
And this is not to mention the fact that voting analyses indicate that anywhere from 600,000 to 2.9 million illegals voted in this election. Detailed analyses of the 2008 presidential election concluded that around 600,000 illegals voted. Needless to say, it is easier for illegals to vote now than it was in 2008.
