Ignoring on forums has not been my style, only using it to block the absolute worst of the worst.
With the murder of Charlie - I don't know. I am re-evaluating. I have already placed several more on ignore.
Far leftist that are in glee of this happening - they don't deserve a voice.

Maybe we all should consider this. The haters don't deserve to be heard.

Think of this:
The right of free speech has two parts.
The first is the ability to speak your mind and voice your opinion.
The second, and just as important part, is the ability to choose what you hear. You can choose to hear or not hear someone advocating for peace or violence. You have the right not to listen to crazy talk.
I have a huge ignore list. There are a lot of posters here that are simply not worthy of an opinion.

I've been so close to making the speech you just made about this a number of times. Initially I only put about two people on ignore and then two eventually became four. I joined USMB a little over 5 years ago. Recently I inadvertently noticed that I actually have nine people on ignore now and there's about two others I'd like to add to that list quite soon. There are people from several different sides of the issues on here, and I didn't hit that ignore button because of their opinions so much as their delivery and their obnoxious communication styles.

Yes I say put as many of the obnoxious bastards on ignore as possible without stonewalling people who may have important points to make, even if we don't agree with the overall ideology they subscribe to.

I never put anyone on ignore. What is the point of being in a political forum if you don't want to debate? It is like joining a swimming club and hating the water.

Meh, I took everyone off ignore, and only put two people back on, as they have never contributed anything worth reading, not out of personal animosity, either. While many others contribute nothing to discussions, these two spam threads, and it's just easier to read them minus them.

I am likely not on anyones ignore list, as my contributions here are not to be missed. If you want to learn something, you read my posts.

The people who insist on using stupid little fonts and colors, or bolding every other word, or some such nonsense deserve a special kind of ignore.

Well well aren't you people special? Stick your heads in the sand. Go home. Don't play ball with other kids like 6th grade crybabies.

Get over yourselves. Scroll past more quickly or read it. There is a right to somewhat free speech in this Country at this time.

Even the most rabid LW deep state paid posters have rights. Or the Mac&Cheese phony Centrists. Fight them or take your ball and go home little crybabies. Are you Adults or not? Toughen up pantyliners. Get mad, get even. Outsmart them, laugh...whatever? it's words...not punches flying at you. There. I said it.

Now you can say I'm on ignore or I am top of the pile. You should hear all sides perhaps?

It has never been my style for 20 years of posting on forums, always only the worst pests and "totum posters".
But after this, the ugliness and hate. I choose to shut them out.
They don't deserve normal debate, because they are not normal.

I've never put anyone on ignore anywhere I've been. And I've been on online forums from at least 2003.

If anyone is going to get offended, butthurt, upset and/or run away it's going to be the other guy, not me.

It's good to see so many snowflakes out themselves though.

That way lies echo chambers and tRumpism.

The echo chamber is on the Left and the Main Stream Media. That echo chamber is dead because of lies about Covid, Russian Collusion, the Pee Tape, the Fine People Hoax, Hunter Laptop and about a million others.

Nobody trusts the Left or the media. No one.

I use ignore as a timeout, if the nut gets too stupid, I put him on ignore for a few days.

The left has been really disgusting the last few days. I think they are losing it. When Floyd was killed, riots in cities across this country. Kirk is killed and its peaceful vigils across the country. Then the left tells the right they are full of hate and violence. Again, they lack self awareness.
