  • The British-made Covid-19 vaccine from Oxford University and AstraZeneca have today been approved for use. This is the vaccine that will make all the difference. It can be stored in a normal fridge and doesn't need to be kept at -70 degrees like the Pfizer or Moderna versions making roll out much easier.

The Oxford vaccine is one fifth the price of the others due mainly to AstraZeneca's decision not to make any profits until the Pandemic is over.

The Oxford vaccine only requires One Full Dose followed by a Half Dose within a month, which means less will have to be produced to give over 90% protection.

Along with the Pfizer vaccine, the Oxford addition means that the most vulnerable could all be vaccinated in the UK by the end of Feb. If so this could be the real game-changer just when it is needed.

  • Oxford Covid vaccine is APPROVED for use with rollout expected to begin on January 4 as millions more face Tier 4 with Matt Hancock set to reveal TODAY where tougher restrictions are needed
    • Boris Johnson expected to announce which regions will be moved to Tier 4 later today due to increasing rates
    • Department of Health figures reveal Tuesday's infection toll, 53,135, is the largest yet recorded in Britain
    • It marks a 44 per cent rise on last Tuesday, when 36,804 coronavirus cases were announced by officials
    • Two thirds of England could be plunged into Tier 4 this week when tiers are reviewed, it has been claimed

Thanks!
As they say - "We are not all safe until everybody is safe!" The great advantage of this Oxford vaccine is that it will be far easier to roll out in places like Africa where both the hot climate and in many places, intermittent power supplies may make the temperature requirements of the Pfizer & Moderna impractical to all but the major towns and cities.

I just hope we do not get a large number of people refusing the vaccine, which will only delay its effectiveness.

Loks like the English did better! In England...the Biochemistry students still have to actually pass their tests..... declaring them politically correct doesn't do the trick over there like it does here now.

Just sayin...

We won both World Wars getting rid of tyrants.
You yanks sat on the fence until we and the glorious Russians got the upper hand.
Your only interest in the war was profiteering until the Japs kicked you up the arse and Hitler declared war on you!
