We are taught that the British were the first who started bombing civilians...deliberately because Churchill wanted Goering to take the bait and retaliate on British civilians--thus hardening their resolve not to negotiate and shoring up Churchill's power base.

Had Germany not taken the bait..England was screwed.

Very true Tommy like they did nothing about the Holocaust in the beginning then it was almost too late, my Mum was on the wrong end of the Blitz in Manchester it was terrible.
