No but I first heard him on Fresh Air back in the 70's....
It was a radio station out of Kent State Univ in Ohio.

His best and also my favorite release by him is Another Green World, which is actually half ambient and half pop/rock. It makes for splendid easy listening.

My favorite all ambient release by him is Discreet Music. I've used this one to help me fall asleep.

and 95% of what she picks will knock me right out.
