The Bermuda Triangle is indeed quite mysterious. No one can say with certainty what causes these disturbances.

My Uncle Ed flew commercial airliners all around the Bermuda Triangle for years. I asked him if he had ever seen anything unusual or strange out there. He said no. He encountered some of the worst weather on the planet where it could be easy to lose your bearings if you lost your instrumentation which almost never happens for more than a few seconds in modern aircraft, even with lightning strikes.

Lightning strikes could knock out instrumentation in some older aircraft however. And seacraft could succumb to 30 foot or bigger waves that can occur in storms out there.

And it has been many years since anything has mysteriously disappeared out there.

All in all he never saw anything unusual.

My opinion is probably the disappearances were due to natural causes, errors in judgment or whatever. The truth is we will likely never know for sure.
