I looked at the timeline from a Military Viewpoint and couldn't find any way that it could have gone any better with the resources available in the time allotted. It's always been a non starter. Washington didn't make the initial rescue decisions. There just wasn't enough time. For us Military Types, it was a real SNAFU which happens more than not.
