I walked across the Chesepeake Bay Bridge today. 4.6 miles of slightly inclined concrete. Awesome views of the Volvo Ocean Race restart.

This is the beginning of the bridge. The race has just started to the left of the bridge, around the barge.

Pilings, and a boat sneaking under where he wasn't supposed to. I thought nothing of it at the time, but later on, after seeing the Coast Guard swoop down on boats not going under the section they wanted, I don't know how they missed this guy.

This was the section all traffic was supposed to pass under the bridge. Most of these boats are heading north back to Baltimore after watching the Volvo Ocean Race restart.

An ambiguous sign, and two guys who carried a loaf of bread over the bridge.
