The average temperature in the U.S. right now is 19.2°F (-7.1°C). It’s thanks to coal, natural gas and nuclear that you’re not freezing to death

Because it's cold, it's going to snow for 2 days, the roads are coated in salt, my heating bills are going to be nuts, and my wife is wearing five layers.
Just look at the beauty in it.

I believe he was trying to deduce the actual nature of lightning

There's an interesting sub story here.

As an historical aside...

Hans Berger (1924) is usually credited with inventing the EEG. But in reality Richard Caton (an American) did it 50 years earlier. Caton has a town named after him in Maryland.

Berger was a scientific nut case. He was a Nazi sympathizer who forcibly castrated hundreds of disabled people and alcoholics during his tenure as head of the mental health facility at Jena. He believed in the paranormal and was using electricity to try to prove ESP. He eventually committed suicide from depression.

Between Caton and Berger was another guy named Wallace, a Brit who liked to shove rectal thermometers into peoples' brains while they were undergoing surgery for epilepsy.

Couldn't be said better.

The greens are the enemy.

We're toasty warm inside

I'm gonna cook
Miller's chillin
A fat blunt rolled
It's gonna get cold tonight.10 degrees is arctic weather here
The retardsput salt on the roads last night, but the rain washed it all away

We're probably going to have ice sheets All over the back roads, nobody's on the roads anyway today. When I went out
Everybody just hunkers down

Its a beautiful thing. Especially when things arevshut down during the work week.

I am sure a couple of wind turbines and a solar panel made in China could have done the trick too.
Actually, it did. It was the only power had in Texas the last time its citizens died because oil, gas, and coal failed to keep the heat on.

The average temperature in Norway is always 19 degress and all of their heat is from solar and wind.

Oil. gas. and coal are failures when the power grid goes down.

Just look at the beauty in it.

There is no beauty in it. It's cold, harsh, and miserable.

Its a mindset. I really like the snow. Freezing rain is just fine but not great. Just stay home. Easy.

No, the inability to do things I like, the heating bills, and the salt dissolving my car are not a "mindset."
