Not really, because the 5th allows you to not answer a question for fear of incriminating yourself. Since he can't be prosecuted for anything he admits under oath to doing, there is no fear of incrimination, so he has to answer. Kind of like a gang member gaining immunity if he testifies that he was part of a liquor store robbery gone bad and he saw who shot a cashier. If he has immunity, he has to testify or it's pulled, and he goes down with the gang.

Loyalty.....thy name is not Democrat!

I do not believe loyalty eliminates any criticism or questioning of official actions though I do believe these are best expressed in private and not on national television or print. Not even when it comes from somebody as self serving and destructive as Newsome has been for California.

But in this case they have nothing to gain by sticking with Biden. He and Kamala are out of favor with a majority of the American people and even most Democrats no longer look to either for their talking points or marching orders. So they, especially Biden, become trash that be swept out.

Of all their more questionable traits/concepts/policy position, the Democrat propensity to backstab any of their own who offend them might be their most glaringly and consistently obvious. It's how they keep the rank and file in line.
