The American media will bombard us with news about Israel/Palestine, and Russia/Ukraine, but nothing about the catastrophic situation in Haiti.

I understand your point. So to that point we can all ask ourselves why is it that the US government and big media constantly talk about Israel or Ukraine. But not Haiti? Why is that.

That word mercenary should not have been used. What I mean to say is, we should have a volunteer force going to Haiti. Including soldiers, engineers, doctors teachers, to wipe out the gangs, and then set up a new government. Something needs to change because doing the same thing over and over just leads to a bad situation and Haiti. Setting up NGO is there giving money to the Haitian government is not the way forward. We need new ideas.

And a new idea possibly could be for an international coalition of countries to allow for volunteers…including wealthy people to go into Haiti and clean things up. Now that could be done with basically no taxpayer dollars. The wealthy volunteers and fundraising efforts could cover the costs.

I get that you want to help. Okay are you going to be the first boots on the ground with your rifle? How many are you going to get to follow you? How do you plan to make sure that those volunteers, who have access to firearms, are not going to rape and pillage. Or god forbid a whole town of innocents needs to be wiped out?
Who is going to lead the fundraising? Fundraising has been done for that country before. As I remember it was the Clintons and not a lot of that money ever made to that country.
Who decides what government to install? How are you going to be sure that they do not end up with some one like Pol Pot?
As far as a volunteer army. It is nice to assume that people are altruistic enough to help but things get a bit different when you are killing other people and being shot at.
Then you have those that have family. They need to somehow provide for them. Even if they are back in the states or another country. If you pay them out of donations then they will drop what is given to the country by a large margin. Plus you will have to buy most everything and ship it.
I get you want to help. I really do. I wish we could help everyone. But I also understand all to well costs and troubles associated with that help.

Well, perhaps have wealthy individuals Donate money to a coalition of military people, doctors, teachers, engineers, everything that is needed to kick out the current government and gangs and Haiti. Could also even do a GoFundMe type type of thing get small donations from people all over America and even the world. I bet it could work out.

As for the weapons that will be needed well that is where you could have some difficulties. This is where you probably need countries to get involved like an international coalition of sorts. Or something. Like the weapons manufacturers…

And then set up a different government. What role I play …I don’t know. I’m actually handicap from a horrible car accident. Perhaps there is something I can do. I would certainly want to be involved in such a thing. It would be a grand project where members would have to be screened to make sure that they are morally upright people as to avoid the disastrous scenarios you bring up above.


Anyways we live in a global world and this thing in Haiti can’t keep going on like it is. It’s just a net negative. Something has to be done to change it.

Plenty of people wanna help out Haiti, including Haitians. It’s just that something different needs to be done this time around instead of the failed strategies that have been implemented the previous times.

Haitians helping puts in thought of some of the things that happen in Africa where one side takes over by arming children and young adults. Then another arms others and you have Factions fighting each other while those in charge are far from the fighting.
It would be nice if everything was able to be taken care of by just a wish but an old thought comes to mind. Wish in one hand and shit in the other and see which gets full fastest.
There are just so many problems involved with fixing anything.
All you have to do is look at the current environment in the U.S. Some want illegals removed some do not. Some want the government to spend responsibily some want it to remain the same. Some are elated because Trump won. Some are beyond themselves because he won. And we have it better than some areas like Haiti.
