Debate Now The Absurdity of 'Woke'

'Woke' has been the primary gospel and pretty much primary agenda of the Democrats and left for some years now. DEI, CRT, open borders, cashless bail and other accommodations for actual criminals while lawfare is launched against law abiding citizens, etc. etc. reached epidemic proportions up to the 2025 inauguration.

The absurdities of pretty much everything that is 'woke' become more and more evidence via the efforts of DOGE and the free release of information by the current administration.

I hope in this thread we can catalogue some of the more ridiculous and indefensible examples of why 'woke' is a terrible and unwinnable agenda for the Democrats/American left to support.

One of the more absurd 'woke' things recently on the scene is a Hispanic Snow White. The story describes Snow White as ". . .having fine skin as milky white as snow, thick raven hair, and roseate lips as red as red roses."

So now Rachel Zeigler is a beautiful woman, but she really doesn't exemplify the Snow White of literature. The woke community would be outraged if a young Steve McQueen or Kevin Costner were cast in the role of Jean-Michel Basquiat or if Carrie Underwood or Dolly Parton were cast in the role of Tina Turner or if Sam Heughan was cast as Shakespeare's Otello. But the casting isn't as problematic actually as is the message that Disney presents with someone as blatantly outspoken as Rachel is.

Some things just take woke too far.

Is CRT a real thing? If not why was the National Education Association so focused on it?

Is a migrant invasion of millions of migrants a real thing? If so why is the left and their 'woke' courts working so hard to prevent sending those migrants back to where they came from?

Is funding hundreds of thousands and millions for LGBTQX+++ promotion a real thing? If so why is the left and their 'woke' courts objecting so hard to ending that spending?

Is Hollywood requiring that at least one person of color or a member of a minority group be in a leading role in all films before they can be considered for Academy Awards a real things? Even when the setting would historically or ethnically have no such minority representation?

What part of 'wokeness' is imaginary? Please be specific.

I corrected the 'black' in the OP because I confused Rachel with another actress. But the principle remains the same. The OP has nothing to do with 'race' per se' but everything to do with the requirement that it be about race. The Snow White of literature is described in specific terms. To ignore that in order to incorporate a 'person of color' into that role is 'woke' and indefensible by anything other than 'woke' criteria.

Yes, Google is as 'woke' as most other similar on line services and has rewritten most of their definitions as you just quoted.

"Woke' doesn't just promote and defend 'black racism' though. It is pretty much anything that is anti-America, anti basic American values, anti white people, anti conservative rich people--if you're woke it's okay to be rich--anti traditional American family, antisemitic etc. etc. etc. Describe the thinking and values of the average leftist these days and you more often than not get 'woke.'
