"That disqualification argument boils down to Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution's 14th Amendment, which says that a public official is not eligible to assume public office if they "engaged in insurrection or rebellion against" the United States, or had "given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof," unless they are granted amnesty by a two-thirds vote of Congress."

Seems not only trump but all of those elected in public office, to wit:

"No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability."

this supreme court will determine that the "original intent" of the section was to disqualify the confederates , and does not apply to the seditious maga trash that now must be excluded.

By your standard Obama was not eligible to run for a 2nd term, but Trump is. "
or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof."

Questioning the results of an election is not an "insurrection or rebellion"

If that were true, I could name a whole list of Democrats who should be charged, starting with Hillary Clinton. Paying Russia for a fake dossier in order to unseat a sitting President is what you call "insurrection and rebellion." The left-wing, the Deep State, and their lying media harassing Donald Trump for four years is what you call "insurrection and rebellion." Democrat lawmakers cheering on the 2020 rioters is what you call "insurrection and rebellion."

Name a specific law broken by Trump that he has been convicted off that qualifies under the 14th amendment.

LOL: Mrs. Clinton was not in a Public Office, thus, she doesn't have the power as The Donald who was still President on Jan 6, 2021; trump using his words to incite for all of the world to hear his desire to make the Vice President to violate the Constitution of the United States of America.

Been saying that for months.

The so called supreme court is so fucked at the moment there is no way to know where they would jump on this issue.

I suppose it would depend on which way Harlan and his buddies wanted them to go.

in order to prove it one needs an actual war or a conviction retard.
There 40,000 hours of video evidence, dumbshit. Tens of thousands of hours of sworn testimony as well. Almost exclusively from republicans if I recall correctly. Emails. phone calls, tet messages...

He did it. They helped. there is no doubt.

and no actual evidence that links Trump to it.
