Puerto Ricans
Puerto Ricans were granted US citizenship by the Jones-Shafroth Act on March 2, 1917

MAGAs have never been able to grasp that concept.
The reason these states/territories were treated differently is because they were not originally part of the United States. We acquired new citizens when we acquired these states/territories.
The same thing happened during the Mexican American War....but that was before the 14th Amendment.
