Daniel Perry was convicted of murder in the death of Garrett Foster but was later pardoned by the governor. Now he's back in court on a deadly conduct charge.

AUSTIN, Texas — A case involving a Texas man pardoned by the governor earlier this year was back in a Travis County courtroom on Tuesday. His attorneys are fighting to throw out an indictment for a separate misdemeanor charge he's facing.

Earlier this year, Gov. Greg Abbott pardoned Daniel Perry after he was convicted of murder for shooting and killing Garrett Foster during a Black Lives Matter protest in 2020. But the pardon didn't end all of his legal troubles.

Perry still faces a misdemeanor charge of deadly conduct for his alleged actions on the night of the shooting leading up to Foster's death. Under Texas law, a deadly conduct charge is when a person knowingly discharges a firearm at someone or a building.

If convicted of the deadly conduct charge, Perry faces up to a year in prison. However, he did spend a little more than a year in prison before he was pardoned, so the judge may take that time served into consideration.

Yup, the Travis County DA, José Garza, (Soros stooge) who refuses to actually prosecute criminals based on skin color, had filed Deadly Conduct charges against Daniel Perry.

Perry is the rideshare driver that shot an protestor who threatened him with an AK in 2020. There was so much prosecutorial misconduct in the case that Gov Abbott stated that a pardon was coming even before he was sentenced.

This is immediately after the shitbird managed to finally prosecute a police officer on deadly conduct after multiple hung juries in a murder trial. The officer shot a violent lunatic with a knife at a distance of three-5 feet.

Sounds like a DA that should be hit with charges for deprivation of rights under color of law, if he is this maliciously persecuting a self defense shooting.

This will be a very good case for the Trump DOJ to investigate.
