In how many threads and how many times should I regurgitate the same information? If someone truly cares about the site and it's a big issue, you'd think they'd do a modicum of searching or viewing the already (5) threads about the issue beforehand...

I didn't post any threads about it I just posted in them.

I can appreciate not wanting to customize all the old skins, that would (a) be a PIA and (b) not worth the effort.

Notice in the screen shot below. The "old text" in the post by Dante (upper arrow). Then look at the text in the reply box (lower arrow). The upper text seems kind of muted, while the lower text has more contrast to the background and is easier to read. Well on my eyes it is.

A consideration to bumping the contrast for body text would be appreciated.

I don't worry about size to much, I can zoom in/zoom out.

I can adjust it so it's the same as the editor text color. Now I know what you mean by contrast. I agree, I actually like the brighter text and that's actually how it is by default. I adjusted the body text to address the brightness complaints, LOL. Can't win either way it seems.

If I click on that, which I often do, it renders a list of all of my board postings/content.

Except that now it includes all of my pm messages in there as well.

For PMs I usually just click on the little mail icon.

I use Dark on both PC and my phone and while legible on PC, it was a little harder on the phone as it didn't - ah - "pop" as much.

Which is something I'm sure you have to balance these days with Monitors, Tablets, and Phones.

Yes, that's the new way it is. The software update offers the new ability to search private conversations. Handy if you need to search your conversation history for sure. Unfortunately one of the downsides is that it also searches your private conversations for this... probably not so handy.

On the bright side, you can now search your private conversations

I would replace all the words in powder blue and pale grey for the color black.

I learned a long time ago that turning signatures off is the best way to deal with them. I mean, do you really want to read that same shit over and over and over again?

First thing i did on day one, deactivate other people’s sigs..

WHile perhaps I have your eyes - I would love "New Threads" option added under What's new. It is a nice option, rather than just new posts.

There is a new threads widget. I've set it up at a page: New Threads

It's also a link under the What's New.

I'm not sure exactly how it works, but I've listed 50 threads. It doesn't sort them the way I would assume it does -- based only on the thread creation date... but it's definitely different than What's new and Active Topics, so give it a whirl.

That's the only way to do New Threads that I know how.

Working on a new skin. You can select it at the skin selector at the bottom of the page, via the User CP, or you can also select it by clicking this link: US Message Board Political Discussion Forum

You can also click the 'Change Width' in the footer to set it to maximize the forum content up to 95% instead of being a fixed width. I prefer the non-fixed width version.

In addition, I'm going to set a maximum size on the signature. Right now I've got it set to 120 pixels max. If your signature is larger than that it will get clipped on the new skin. It will stay full size on the old skin.

Ahh, too many conversations at once. Misunderstood you. That link from 2023 won't work anymore. The only way to change the style variations is the icon in the navbar... It looks like a half circle in a circle by default, or a gear if you are on the light skin, or a half moon if you are on the dark skin.

Or you can change it from the User CP. https://www.usmessageboard.com/account/preferences

Look for Style Variation there.
