Tesla charging station in california where it takes 30 to 60 minutes to charge.

Hard to believe. If it takes an hour to charge the 12th car in line would have to wait 13 hours to get charged. Not to mention the end of the line.

Looks like we need more charging stations

As gas stations start to lose customers, they will need to add rapid charging capabilities.

I also see more restaurants and malls adding EV charging.
Come in and shop/eat while you are waiting for your car to charge

You know that have more than one charge point...

This is an infrastructure problem US has with high power chargers... Europe is busy putting in charges which can do 200kw per hour charging... This will give 200miles in about 15-20 min... You must remember that the car starts the morning with about 400miles in the tank...

So you can end up needing a charge during the day but how many times will you drive 400miles nonstop and don't want a 20 min rest...

The real question is, why is US infrasturce falling behind the Rest of the first world?

30 to 60 minutes?

I pay, fill my tank and pulling away in less than 2 minutes.

Meanwhile all that electricity wasted sitting there waiting to use up vast amounts of electricity to charge the cars that all comes from fossil fuel based power plants.

I waste less resources and less of my personal time with my gas powered car. I just have a 2L v4, I don't even create much waste as it is. Electric cars will be great one day in say 15 or 20 years.

Even at $5.00 a gallon I could drive my KIA Soul for 20 fuckin' years before I'd break even on the cost of a EV.

They are simply not affordable/practical to most Americans but yet the socialists want to force them upon us.

If EVs wane it will be because Americans don't care to be forced to purchase something that won't suit their needs.

Current ranges are 200-250 miles on a full charge

Most users will charge up before they leave home and only have to charge once a week.

No question we need more EV infrastructure to avoid situations like in the OP

Thankfully, our President included EV infrastructure in his $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill

Lets say $60 a week is $3000 a year
Take about four years to break even

I have not met any EV owners who regret their decision

Their power grid cannot handle it. Not at all. Dont worry though. The wealthy won't be too affected
