Temu just raised their prices overnight by like 45%.

Element, look them up, they make a great TV in South Carolina
I looked them up and researchrd and they assemble tv's in SC. Assemble and make are two different things. While you're doing your research see the connection with China.

No assembling is literally making something. But please tell the UAW in Detroit working on assemblly lines they aren’t making cars

Geez

China isn't paying those tariffs.... you are.

You guys are really dumb that you can't see how Trump is screwing you.

And please show US your intelligence on how China has not been screwing US prior to Trump?

Okay.

We want products.
They make products.
We want those products to be affordable.
They make those products at an affordable price.

If we aren't selling China as much as we buy from them, that's our fault, not theirs.

Trump can't make anybody do anything. This you need to earn.

You can only make the “we aren’t selling China” if it is a level playing field. China’s government has made certain that is not the case.

Not if he doesn't buy the crap.

You guys are so dumb, period.

Why should I have to pay more for a product than I need to?

Tariffs aren't paid by the manufacturer, they are paid for by the consumer.

There's no incentive for American manufacturers to be more competitive if tariffs are there. They'll just sell for a few cents less than the post-tariff price.

Actually, no, we have.

Let's take cars.

You won't see American-made cars in China. The Chinese have developed their own brands, like BYD, that you can't buy in the US. However, BYD is now one of the largest brands globally.

But in China, you will also find Toyotas and Volkswagens.

No Fords or Chevys.

Why?

Because while the rest of the world was striving towards smaller, more fuel efficient cars, the US manufacturers, not learning a fucking thing from the 70s and 80s, kept making bigger cars. What, you have to make sedans fuel efficient, but there's an exemption for SUVs? Let's make EVERYTHING an SUV now!!!

You realize that's a practical impossibility, right?

Even if it is the more commonly accepted number of 11 million, at current rates, we'll never get them all out.
It is easy to get the illegals to leave. Enforce section 1324 title 8 which makes it a federal felony to encourage illegals to live here. Trump should prosecute anyone that hires an illegal or rents them housing or lets them use our schools. Do that and the illegals will leave overnight.

8 U.S. Code § 1324 - Bringing in and harboring certain aliens

(A)Any person who—

(iv)encourages or induces an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law; or

(I)engages in any conspiracy to commit any of the preceding acts, or
(II)aids or abets the commission of any of the preceding acts,
shall be punished as provided in subparagraph (B).

(B)A person who violates subparagraph (A) shall, for each alien in respect to whom such a violation occurs—

(iv)in the case of a violation of subparagraph (A)(i), (ii), (iii), (iv), or (v) resulting in the death of any person, be punished by death or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, fined under title 18, or both.

We could make people buy small cars if we put a $5 a gallon tax on gas. We also need to have moving violation penalties vary with the weight of the vehicle. That's mainly for safety but it would also prompt the idiot american to go small.
