Ted Cruz backs county clerks denying marriage licenses to gay couples

Cruz is supported by those who would destroy America as we know it and fly in the face of everything that the founders believed and stood for ......
Kenneth Copeland Declares That Ted Cruz Has Been 'Called And Anointed' By God To Be The Next President Submitted by Kyle Mantyla on Friday, 2/5/2016 1:37 pm Earlier this year,

Ted Cruz's father and primary presidential campaign surrogate, Rafael, spoke at televangelist Kenneth Copeland's church in Texas, where the controversial prosperity gospel preacher declared that Ted Cruz has been anointed by God to be the next president. Copeland, who believes that he can destroy the Ebola virus by speaking in tongues, introduced the elder Cruz by asserting that "I believe, with all my heart, that his son is called and anointed to be the next president of the United States." After Cruz spoke for an hour, delivering his standard presentation urging Christians to vote in order to beat back secularism and take control of this nation, Copeland asked him to recount how the Holy Spirit had descended upon a Cruz family prayer session and convinced Ted to seek the presidency, which Rafael took as a sign that "God has raised him up for such a time as this." - See more at: Kenneth Copeland Declares That Ted Cruz Has Been 'Called And Anointed' By God To Be The Next President

Former Classmates Slam Ted Cruz: He’s About As Telegenic As An Undertaker

Ted Cruz may have won Iowa but that doesn’t make people hate him any less.

The Texas Tea Party Senator is so universally despised that even moderate Republicans and Fox News can’t stand him.

Ever since being sworn in as a Senator, Cruz has shut down the government and attempted to shut it down on multiple other occasions. He has single-handedly blocked legislation that even his fellow Republican colleagues support and has told lie after lie to the media and the American people in order to position himself as some kind of savior.

Just this past Sunday, Cruz was called out by Fox News for telling lies about Obamacare. That’s how much Ted Cruz is hated. Conservative media is actually starting to defend Obamacare against his lies.

This gay marriage issue is bunk. Nobody yet has been able to explain how gay marriage is a threat to my traditional marriage. NOBODY

Cruz's 2016 Strategy Explicitly Focuses On White Voters

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) — Ted Cruz has mapped out a path to the White House that all but ignores the explosion of minority voters in America.

The Texas senator's general election strategy depends almost wholly upon maximizing turnout among millions of conservative white voters — mostly evangelical Christians and the white working class — who didn't participate in the last presidential contest.

At the same time, Cruz's team is banking on a sharp decline in black and Hispanic support for the 2016 Democratic nominee, whoever it is, returning to voter trends before Barack Obama shook up the electorate as the nation's first black president and won an overwhelming share of support from non-white voters.

It is a strategy that defies the conventional wisdom in the GOP that says the party can win the White House again only if it appeals to political moderates and non-white voters who are becoming a greater share of the voting-age population as each day passes.

Ted Cruz was on George W. Bush's team for the Florida recount in 2000, helping to stop the vote tallying there before Al Gore could be declared the winner -as if we needed more reasons to loathe the evil slug...........Religion at the control of the coercive powers of Government is a big problem for me..........

Bill Moyers: Ted Cruz is America’s ‘God Squad’ bully-boy goon

We found ourselves this week talking about two very different guys, both born in Canada, who skated to triumph thanks to their fans.

If you follow hockey, you have already guessed the name of one of them: John Scott, the 6’8,” 275 lbs., unlikely Most Valuable Player in last Sunday’s NHL All-Star Game. As Kelly McEvers put it on NPR’s All Things Considered, Scott is a “goon-made-good.” She was invoking hockey slang to describe an enforcer — the “goon” who is charged not to score goals but to knock heads. A professional brawler, if you will........

Now if you follow politics (as of course you do) you know the other Canadian-born guy in this story is Ted Cruz. He is another kind of enforcer who is always spoiling for a fight. Instead of brawling on the ice, he brawls in the courts, on the Senate floor, and on the campaign trail. In Iowa, if they had wanted an enforcer, you might think the call would have gone to Donald Trump. But Trump is merely a bully who bungles scripture. Cruz is a brute, the Crusader Warrior, armed with spike and shield and holy zeal, summoning true believers to war against the infidels. Deus vult! they cried out in those days. “God wills it!

Change is hard to swallow for some. Just look at the posters on this board with everything from the necessity of the wot to gay marriage.
We are literally being governed by a bunch of children. There are issues worthy of not giving an inch of your ground.....this is not one of them.
Unless you're a child (an implicit party to the marriage contract) who is being stripped by a new institution, of a necessary father or mother for life... Then that is worth fighting for and not giving an inch of ground. Who will fight for children if adults are all waffling their morals in favor of PC pandering to deviant adults affecting children's lives?

Texas Tea Party Judge Who Won't Officiate Same-Sex Weddings Was Inspired To Run By Ted Cruz
A Dallas judge who refuses to perform marriages for same-sex couples but will for opposite-sex ones should resign, according to the local Democratic Party.

Republican Bill Metzger, justice of the peace for Precinct 2 in Dallas County, announced this week on his Facebook page that he won't marry gay couples due to his religious beliefs. He cited a nonbonding opinion issued by anti-gay Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in Obergefell v. Hodges.

In a radio interview in 2013, Metzger noted his extensive involvement with local tea party groups and said his campaign was "not about me, it's about something bigger." He also said he was inspired to run by GOP Senator Ted Cruz.

"It’s us versus them," Metzger said. "With a leader like Ted Cruz leading the way, I think it’s trickled down to our little part of the world, where we’re willing to stand up and say, ‘Hey, we’re not alone out here.’ ... I'm proud to call him my senator."

Incidentally, Cruz, now a presidential candidate, stood firmly behind Kentucky clerk Kim Davis when she refused to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples last year.

Nearly Everything Ted Cruz Said At Saturday's Debate Was A Lie Submitted by Brian Tashman on Monday, 2/8/2016 12:40 pm

Marco Rubio’s robotic recitation of anti-Obama talking points may have been the biggest story coming out of Saturday’s GOP presidential debate, but at least one candidate stood out with his unrelenting dishonesty: Ted Cruz. Following his opening statement, almost every remark from Cruz was either completely misleading or flat-out wrong. See more at: Nearly Everything Ted Cruz Said At Saturday's Debate Was A Lie

Iowa Disaster: “Wacko-Bird” Ted Cruz is Far, Far Scarier Than Donald Trump

Ted Cruz’s victory over Donald Trump last night was a spectacular coup for the senator from Texas. While it doesn’t mean he is a shoo-in for the nomination, the psychological effect it will have on the Republican electorate cannot be underestimated.

In March of 2013, in reference to Cruz, John McCain told the Huffington Post that “It’s always the wacko birds on the right and left that get the media megaphone.” This coming from a man who has tried to bomb every Muslim country on the planet. Because let us not forget, Ted Cruz is the asshole who read Dr Seuss for 21 hours as part of a ludicrous filibuster to de-fund Obamacare, and is so extreme most people in his own party thinks he is a nut job.

As Five Thirty Eight writer Harry Enten pointed out: “Ted Cruz is more conservative than every recent nominee, every other candidate who mounted a serious bid in 2012 and every plausible candidate running or potentially running in 2016.” And to prove it, he posted this chart measuring how conservative each candidate was as measured by “DW-Nominate common-space scores (which are based on a candidate’s voting record in Congress), fundraising ratings (based on who donates to a candidate), and OnTheIssues.org scores (based on public statements made by the candidate)”: Iowa Disaster: "Wacko-Bird" Ted Cruz is Far, Far Scarier Than Donald Trump - The Daily Banter

President Cruz: Still America's worst nightmare | Editorial

In some ways, the nation owes Ted Cruz a measure of gratitude for taking the wind out of the sails (however briefly) of Donald Trump, who suddenly doesn't seem as invincible as he did last week.

But we're still left with a bipartisan electoral nausea, upon realizing that 51,000 people in Iowa are still unable to recognize that the senator from Texas is more extreme and just as politically unhinged as the GOP frontrunner.

Let us count the ways:

The man who wants to run the U.S. Government is the same one who shut it down nearly three years ago, which halted critical

Most communist dick suckers like yourself want a larger government in order to make it stronger. It is a very dictatorial thinking but since you swallowed big dick and all we have to put up with it.
Brilliant! just fucking brilliant! Another idiot who bandies the label "Communist " around
while obviously not having a clue as to what it means or even knowing who he is accusing. I want a government that works asshole! Cruz hates the idea of government, large or small. He want a fucking theocracy and he is itching for war. Be careful what you ask for bubba

I doubt he has a genuine "religious" bone in his body. Portraying himself as the savior is simply a means to an end. He's crazy, cRaZy, CRAZY.

Unless you're a child (an implicit party to the marriage contract) who is being stripped by a new institution, of a necessary father or mother for life...

Every piece of contract law you cited was for *explicit* parties to contracts that obligate children. Like say, child actors. Not one cited marriage as being such a contract. You've never shown us a single legal source, law, ruling or court that has ever recognized the marriage of parents as a minor contract for children. Or that any child is married to their parents.

Your only source is you. Citing yourself. And that's not a legal argument.

Then that is worth fighting for and not giving an inch of ground. Who will fight for children if adults are all waffling their morals in favor of PC pandering to deviant adults affecting children's lives?

You don't give a fiddler's fuck about children. As your proposal doesn't do a thing to help any child. Denying marriage doesn't magically transform same sex parents into opposite sex parents. It merely guarantees that their children will never have married parents. Which hurt children by the hundreds of thousands. And you've already admitted you have no problem hurting these kids.

The USSC has also found that it humiliates these children, damages their familial relationships, damages family security, and denies them of benefits.

And you're more than happy to hurt children by the hundreds of thousands while helping no child....if it lets you hurt gays.

Um, no. We're not doing that.

Spot on friend, but I'm afraid that your words will not have any effect on her whatsoever. We are dealing with a serious case of psychosis here. Let her wallow in her dark and tormented alternate reality where she believes that gays are bad for children, that lies can become truth just y repeating them, and hate is a virtue. Just be happy that you are not her. I am.

These are truly dangerous people!

So, Here's Heidi Cruz Saying Ted Is Running 'To Show This Country The Face Of The God We Serve'

Heidi Cruz says her husband's campaign, and, if elected, presidency, exist "to show this country the face of the God that we serve." Perhaps unaware of the Constitution, she believes Ted Cruz is "uniquely able to deliver" a "combination of the law and religion."

Speaking with South Carolina radio host Vince Coakley while campaigning for her husband, Heidi Cruz (photo, to Ted Cruz's left) insisted "this Christian God that we serve is the foundation of our country."

Explaining why she is supporting and campaigning for her husband, Heidi Cruz said "we are at a cultural crossroads in our country" and that she feels she and her husband "can be in this race to show this country the face of the God that we serve — this Christian God that we serve is the foundation of our country, our country was built on Judeo-Christian values, we are a nation of freedom of religion, but the God of Christianity is the God of freedom, of individual liberty, of choice and of consequence."

I guess people in the South will just have to ask themselves who is psychotic. 1. You, who feel totally comfortable stripping children via contract (marriage) of the hope of either a mother or father for life or 2. Me who says that's a form of child abuse.

It's pretty obvious who is mentally ill here..

We'll let the voters in the South decide. Gonna call all of them "psychotic" too? In the next 10 days or so?

So to be clear, you, TheProgressivePatriot, believe that people who are trying to secure both a mother and father for children should "die"? That's kind of what I'm thinking beta boy Dylann Roof (with the black boyfriend who swore Roof never uttered a word of racism towards blacks) was thinking right before he shot all those Christians in Bible study the day after a major southern church announced it would never support gay marriage...

Nope, no dangerous cult here to worry about..
