Tattooed Lady

I went outside a bar about 30 years ago to have a smoke. There was a young lady there that was smoking as well. In the conversation, she asked if I'd like to see her new tattoo as she unfastened her pants and showed me a tattoo below her belt line that said "All you can eat"---I ran.

5 tattoos so far. Plan to get a sleeve on one of my arms someday

Look at the tats on this woman.

I don't believe I've ever asked anyone about any meaning behind their tattoo(s). I don't think it's ever occurred to me. Having a couple myself, I've always looked at others' from the perspective of the work. Was the image rendered well? Is it recognizable? The line work... coloring or mono... shading. Bad? Good... Very good? The most I think I've ever said to a stranger regarding their work is, "Nice work. Where'd you get it done?" But only if it was good...

I got a tattoo of sorts in my freshman year of high school. A pretty girl sat behind me in Algebra. One day I figured I'd see for myself how she was feeling--if you get my drift. She was quicker than a mongoose on a habu--stabbed me with her #2 pencil between my right fourth and fifth fingers, LOL, I carry that bit of graphite to this day, nearly sixty years later. I learned a valuable lesson that I've never forgotten.

I met a tattooed lady while waiting at the courthouse. She asked me what I was 'in' for and I told her I was paying a traffic ticket. She was tattooed head to foot and I felt it not right to point out her own tattoos to her. IMO, her skin paint was part of her personal expression and I accepted her as is so why would I ask about her tattoos? Just wonder what others think and do.
Right! I 100% agree with you. Her reasons for being tattooed are none of your business. Just as her question to you was none of hers. You took the high road. I would have, too.

"Point them out?"
Obviously such people are into shallow vanity and want to be noticed. If it wasn't derogatory I'm sure she'd appreciate the attention.

Personally I wouldn't give her ANY. I think that over-the-top tattooing beyond just a small one or two looks low class and tacky as hell...if not borderline repulsive. But you also have to respect people's freedom to be stupid and low clas if it doesn't physically affect you. You or I have don't any right to "confront" them about it. If you like the tacky low-class tattoos on that attention hungry cultish freak, by all means express it. If not, why give her the time of day? I wouldn't.

I don’t mind people asking about my tattoos. They’re always cool about it. I don’t remember anyone being rude about it. Celtic harp for Irish heritage, Odin’s ravens- one on each shoulder- for Norse heritage. Crown on arm and skull on chest- no reason other than they look cool

Tattoos are becoming so common, people really don’t ask much like they did years ago
