There you go!.....That's the type of sentencing that used to be handed out for home invasions of occupied dwellings.

Home invaders (occupied dwelling) were considered the worst of the worst outside of murderers and kiddy diddlers.
 
They need to get the death penalty. String that dude up in the town square.
 
Senor Espinoza plead guilty and still got 45 years- a virtual life sentence- for a non-capital offense. They really don't play around in Texas.
 
As I said in the OP....That was a common sentence for such offenders back in the 70s-80s.


The thing that amazed me about this is that the fellow plead guilty to the charges and still got this sentence. The sentence is definitely appropriate for what this individual did, but they usually bless defendants a bit when they save everyone the hassle of a trial. I would have expected a 25-30 year sentence in this case since he admitted it all.
