and yet an rpg can still take down a helicopter, yet our planes can still be shot down, yet its still one solider against one solider. so while technology has helped, and costed, when i see an rpg still take down a helicopter, tanks can still take out soliders, and carriers can still be rammed, thats not enough to ensure a soliders life.

That may be true but it does not change the fact that the person most responsible for American troops leaving Iraq was the Iraqi Prime Minister who insisted on the 08 time line when a extension deal could not be reached not Obama.
