You clearly know NOTHING about negotiations so don't pretend that you do. The first thing you learn in a negotiation that in a successful negotiation, BOTH SIDES get what they want. What exactly does Trump want in this trade war? The goal posts move daily.
Trump said that tariff's are to force companies to manufacture their goods in the USA, but then yesterday he said the USA isn't going to be making T-shirts or sneakers. Just weapons, electonics and chips. Then why put tariff's on things you're not going to make? And why cancel the Chips Act?
If tariffs are going to replace income tax, if all of the manufacturing is done in the USA, then nothing will have tariffs, so how can it replace income tax?
Trump is the worst negotiator in world history. He's gone bankrupt 6 times - a world record, and been involved in over 4000 civil law suits - also a record, most for breach of contract. Any time a contract ends up in court, it was poorly negotiated in the first place.
Neither does Trump. In fact, Trump is no kind of negotiator at all. If he were, he wouldn't have gone bankrupt 6 times, or been involved in over 4000 law suits. Any good commercial lawyer will tell you that a law suit is a break down of the process. In other words, bad deals end up in law suits, and NOBODY ends up in more law suits than Donald Trump.
Trump's pay grade is in the negative zone.
