The exporter does not pay. The importer pays and passes it on to Americans via inflation. You should be quite happy the U.K only got hit for 10%.

For starters? How about the additional $15,000 per year out of pocket cost the average American family had to absorb because of Joe Biden's inflationary economic policies? What was this biden economic disaster you speak of?
I don't think you know, but I do believe you repeat what you are told to repeat.
Can you break down this so-called economic disaster with a few statistics......... I don't think you can.
Go >>>>>>>>>>
Yeah, especially as the UK had a trade deficit with the US, and Trump said he was putting tariffs on countries because the US had a trade deficit with them....You should be quite happy the U.K only got hit for 10%.
The plan is perfect
Tariffs to open markets and pay off the deficit
Tax cuts and reregulation cuts increasing business and manufacturing and profits.
Stopping all green energy subsidies and switching to fossil fuels and nuclear to meet the demand or AI.
We have to wait and see the results. Golds cant work our economy is too large. That is not the aim , imho .
Trumpfy is not over woried about the Debt because if he halves the value of the Dollar , that in itself reduces the Debt pro rata .
And once the Dollar value declines hugely ,other countries will not purhase Treasuries .
If , in parallel , interest rates have been cut you will generate extra inflation .
A perfect recipe for:-
The ideal total scenario to move out of a Debt based financial system and move to something pegged to a fixed standard -- Gold being the obvious example.
But now with much reduced total Debt .
Tarrif moves may prove useful , but in themselves are almost irrelevant versus a total Debt which will be close to $40 trillion. .

Trumps plan is based on standard business strategy.
Leverage: The world needs our market more than we need theirs. They will all cave in.
Tariffs: These are really kickbacks. You want to export to America it will cost you.
Profits: tax and regulation cuts creates more profit and expansion
Energy: Stop subsidizing green energy its too expensive and cant meet the demands of AI. Fossil fuels and nuclear create the energy the future economy demands.
The annual deficit is 1.7 trillion. At the current rate tariffs will bring in over 1 trillion in 4 years.
I'd be happy with a Del Taco here.

Del Taco is better than Taco Bell too, and probably cheaper.I think we have some of those too (Del Taco), but I've never been........Taco Time is a step up from Taco Bell, but is still drive thru fast food and on the expensive side.
Crispy Burrito.....flour tortilla wrapped with bean or beef filling, maybe an inch around and deep fried. over $4 EACH. I can make them for less than .50, maybe even a quarter

You are such an idiot.Trump crashing the market to make a killing.
Trump (or his successors) may replace the dollar with gold-backed securities at a 1:10 ratio. Debtors would take a haircut, but where else are they going to invest? And once the Dollar value declines hugely ,other countries will not purhase Treasuries .
