You make a terrible point here, which runs counter to your argument.
I understand the rest of your post, though, and the over reactions were sometimes hilarious, and sometime just ridiculous, but I managed them. It was businesse's being shuttered that was the most egregious mistake. Schools being closed was also wrong, teachers at risk could teach their classes online.
The kids were fine, but some teachers were liikely at risk.
I don't make a terrible point. I understand the freakout in the first month or two. The problem is they acted like the data they were getting confirmed the original freakout.
