The Supreme Court sided with San Francisco on Tuesday in a challenge to water quality regulations issued by the Environmental Protection Agency in a ruling that could have sweeping implications for the agency’s ability to limit offshore pollution.

he 5-to-4 decision dealt another blow to the agency, which has recently sustained several losses before the court over its efforts to protect the environment.

The case was notable because it created unusual alliances. Liberal San Francisco found itself on the same side as mining and petroleum trade groups like the National Mining Association, American Farm Bureau Federation, and American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers in opposing the E.P.A.

This is outstanding news. Let's dissolve the EPA anyway. It only causes harm.

The problem was the EPA wasn't trying to provide discharge limits and numbers for the plants and combined sewer systems to meet, they were just saying "do something to make this not happen" in a vague sort of way.

Congress can fix this by directing the EPA to set actual standards to stormwater discharges.

This doesn't change anything at when it comes to the discharges, or SF's attempts to rectify them. It just doesn't allow EPA to bully them over something that can't be proven to come from the source in question.

Thanks to the EPA, treated lumber is way more expensive than it used to be and doesn't last nearly as long.
Thanks to the EPA, AC units are way more expensive than they used to be and don't last nearly as long.
Thanks to the EPA, we are forced to abandon gasoline-powered tools and go with inferior electric tools which are more expensive to buy and use, aren't as powerful and don't last as long.
Environmentalist money changers are some of the most vile evil people on earth.
It's time to board up the EPA and eliminate any government reference to the climate change hoax. Giving these Marxist leeches billions of dollars just creates more Marxist leeches and cripples private enterprise.

The fact is, we are running out of fresh water. Desalination is complex and expensive.
Foreign owned Nestles and America's Coca Cola are also selling Americas bottled water all over the world. Millions of gallons of our natural springs pumped out daily.
America is home of the largest concentration of natural springs on earth. Located in north and central Florida. Many have dried up from over pumping. We also share water with Georgia and S. Florida.
Other nations like China buy up our croplands and use huge amounts of water also.
We don't have water ourselves much less for more immigration.

The City and County of San Francisco has the right to control what happens in the waters off the city's coast. The California Coastal Commission agrees with the decision. Yes, I know about the water situation, here in Marin County we have water shed, it's overflowing. The problem for San Francisco the limited space it has.

What's the problem? The EPA is only asking them to destroy their businesses and starve their people.... I don't see any problem there... do you?
