You know, the hack on the DNC concerns me less than the false news narrative that they have seemed to be rather successful in spreading. Now? Not only does the nation NOT trust the media any longer, they are willing to believe Facebook posts from their friends as gospel.

And being able to sway the mood of the country is a very dangerous thing if you know how to do it properly, and apparently, Russia figured it out.

It is nonsense like this that really annoys me; it is an insult to the intelligence of every american that they can be swayed by "fake news," TV ads, editorials in news media, etc.

Whether it is the huge amount of advertising/TV money Jeb Bush spent that couldn't get him through the primaries, the scumbag NYT daily editorial / hack jobs against Trump, or the alleged "russian hacking/fake news" or whatever other BS the dems/liberals claim, it is all crap. The american public is not so easily swayed, and this is one of the (few, IMO) benefits of a 2 year presidential election cycle - the public gets to really take their time in formulating an opinion on who they will support.

Hillary lost because she was corrupt and untrustworthy; using a private email server to send classified info, raising hundreds of millions of dollars from despots and god-knows who else through a charitable front, millions more from Wall St banks, etc., all of these items were not "fake news", or "russian hacks", they were legitimate events that in totality contributed to a sense she could not be trusted.

While much of the MSM news media in the US is leftist trash, there are enough variations in voices and sources to give a full picture for those willing to put in the time and sort things out. You probably should read the book or watch the movie 13 hours, that was written by the CIA agents fighting this battle. FOX News turned this story into Godzilla overnight, and the lies and misconceptions coming out of them is actually astounding.

1. Benghazi was never an embassy--Ambassador Stevens showed up in Benghazi on the 10th of September, rented an un secure villa from a friend, and against the advice of the CIA that was on the ground, and was killed the very next day on the 11th.
2. Stevens put on a news conference when he arrived on the 10th, again against the advice of the CIA, letting everyone know he was in town.
3. Hillary Clinton believed him to be 400 miles away in a secure embassy in Tripoli. She didn't even know he went to Benghazi.
4. Hillary Clinton did not order anyone to stand down
5. There were in fact other Embassy's in the middle east getting raided over the video, (at the same time) so their first initial thought was that this was another raid, & not a terrorist attack.

Now FOX news has promoted this story to hell and back. They have turned it into a story that only a T.V movie producer could have imagined. This is because of the invention of 24 hour cable news, they have to have something they can talk about. They tried to tag Obama with it in 2012, and when that didn't work, it's all about Hillary Clinton over Benghazi.

The point is, we don't know the circumstances of all of Bush's embassy attacks (there may have been some wrong-doing or poor judgment used.) And we can only Thank God that Democrats did not drag up 240 grieving mothers when Reagan lost 240 U.S. marines in an attack on an embassy in Lebanon and call him a murderer.

I started a thread about traitors that didn't get very far, but based around the Russian athlete that told the world about Russian doping. She had to leave Russia.

Assange has done some good, but it's hard to know what one person is up to. Wikileaks has always had problems with Assange being the famous one, doing things for his own ego rather than necessarily for good. As far as the damage done: Probably the worst email leak was Debbie Wasserman's DNC chair. Bernie Sanders was out there campaigning on a rigged election, Russia leaked a couple of emails with Wasswerman exhibiting her dislike of Sanders. Trump expounded on it, went running to Sanders supporters and said vote for me. How many of them took the bait and swallowed the bullshit on that we'll never know. But I know there were a few Sanders supporters on this board that were threatening to vote for Trump over it.

You make a good point that the only damage the Wikileaks emails did was to the Democratic leadership, most especially Debbi Wasserman-Schulz, when they proved what Sanders supporters had been claiming that the leadership of the Party had rigged the primaries to prevent Sanders from winning, but since only Sanders supporters gained anything from the Wikileaks emails, by any rational assessment that should have made them prime suspects for the leaks, but since any investigation of them would have further split the Party, the Democrats decided to blame Russia in order to try to unite the badly fractured Party in hating Russians. That there has been no investigation of leaks from within the Party is evidence that the intelligence agencies have been political tools by the Obama administration. And this could be called treason by some.

Since it is impossible to demonstrate that any of the Wikileaks emails could have influenced the election, it doesn't matter. We hack their high profile political figures and they hack our's all the time, so it just isn't even newsworthy unless it can be demonstrated that these emails could have influenced the election.

We have never hacked into foreign political databases to sway an election to anyone. This is what the Uproar is all about.

Wikileaks founder (Julian Grange) is probably the most wanted man in the world right now, and the efforts to find him have probably quadrupled. He is no friend of anyone's, and has leaked sensitive information that puts our soldiers in danger. The ONLY one that has praised him is Donald Trump.

Sorry if you do not like the facts but it is a fact that we have meddled in foreign elections. Our meddling has not always been successful but we still meddled. Sometimes with great consequence like Ukraine.
