Sunday Night Football Ratings Tank

Life's too damn short to make politics interfere with things you enjoy. If you enjoy football, put the politics aside. I frequent businesses all the time despite disagreeing with their politics. Who cares..

No way for the NFL or anyone to tell, but I actually skipped over the Vikings and Green Bay games, watched much of the Browns to see if they were ever going to bloom into the better team they promised to be LAST YEAR, and watched a fair portion of the Buccaneer game to see how Brady was faring in his new uniform.

The Browns still suck, but Brady looked quite good despite losing-- -- that arm of his is killer-- -- I think once he and his new team get used to each other, they will be a new force to recon with.

Tonight, It'll be the Steelers to see if Big Ben coming back after essentially two years away from the game will crash and burn, or play better than ever against the lackluster Giants. I'm betting the former. I'll be shocked if the Steelers have a great game firing on all 8 cylinders coming out cold starting their season!

Thankfully, I didn't see any political crap, no kneeling or BLM signs. I think the fake cardboard fans look rather silly but found the piped in fake crowd noise surprisingly effective!
In the Seattle - Atlanta game, both end zones had signs >> "End Racism" and "It Takes All of US" (could have been worse) On the back of their helmets, some players had the names of black people shot by cops. Some of them justifiably.

To his credit, Greg Olsen (one of NFL top receivers) to his credit, simply had the word "Seattle" on his helmet.

I don't think we had that game aired here, but I don't have a big problem with "end racism," just so long as we are honest that racism applies more than just ONE WAY and yes, it takes all of us. Still, this is just so much feel good bubbles in the wind if anyone thinks that slogans in a sports arena are going to change government or society. It is just a not-so-thinly veiled form of imposed (threatening) social conformity to COMPLY.

--------Express your support for us or we will bash you, sue you, dox you, fire you, boycott you, harass you and label you.

I enjoyed the game. Fifteen million people watching or whatever it was....sounds like a lot of eyeballs.

You'll be back

Agreed! Football's still "the sport" of this country and it's a year round phenomenon! In season or out, it's what real sports' enthusiast talk about! Sunday night games probably aren't watched because they suck! IMO, they're comparable to a Thursday night game where most of the eyeballs probably are fans of the teams and are checking out a rivalry game! Just because it's the only game on doesn't mean it's worth watching! Heaven knows I've forgotten or skipped a game or 2 if something else better is on TV! That early Lions game on 'Thxg'vn' is only worth watching if the Bears are playing for me! Most of the time they're playing an AFC team to get them some play! So this isn't even a conference determining game! I do my driving during that game going between buffets! :dunno:

It is THE sport....

I'm the same way. Sports no longer occupies the predominant place it used to.

But NFL Football and SEC Football is what I watch.

Life is to short to watch football. I found several hobbies since the coronavirus, came about to waste time with sports.

I may find time to watch the Super Bowl, but if not, I don't think I'll miss it.

Wrong dead wrong

If you do politics wrong you will lose your interests and that includes football

The democrats are dead set to weaken this nation by brainwashing the unwise voters so they can rob the nation

But the men have woke up and now will stop this great harm

Nick Saban coming out to play politics to promote the abortion party against the patriots will lose billions of dollars fro the SEC conference and the u of ala

They should of fired him on the spot but now too late

Big time boycotts are coming because of not letting Saban bring great division

The Alabama voters were so mad they voted in a no experienced auburn coach over an ala man beloved long term senator sessions why senator Shelby endorsed against trump who is the hero in Alabama

Even tuscaloosa county voted against the bama man sessions for the auburn coach with no experience

So now Saban has just stopped his players going to the nfl stopped their big salaries that they were counting on They should turn on Saban for him running off the main fan base

What a mess these fools have created. If this nonsense keeps up the NFL will go broke.

Sunday Night Football opener this year had 15 Million viewers compared to 22 Million last year.

Idiots.

Meh - NFL TV ratings are fine.
Especially considering that many people are live streaming these games on various devices.
No dear..........guys like to watch their football on the big screen---they didn't all of the sudden go micro this year over last.

the media are going ballistic!

" Roughly 70% of #NFL players are Black, but the league kicked off its 2020 season with only 3 Black head coaches and 2 Black general managers. Of the 5 head coaching jobs that were open during the offseason, none went to Black coaches, and one went to a coach of color, Washington’s Ron Rivera, who is Latino.
.
"Clearly we are not where we want to be on this level," NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said in January, according to NFL.com. "It's clear we need to change. We have already begun discussing those changes, what stages we can take next to determine better outcomes."
.
“Getting the job is not enough — they need the infrastructure," Brandon Martin, athletic director at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, said. "They need the support from the front office, they need to be able to hire the staff they need, and be allotted the opportunities that some of the non-Black coaches have in terms of time to build a program.”
.
“It’s often said for us that we’re progressing,” fmr. NFL quarterback James “Shack” Harris said. “I don’t think ‘progressing’ is the word. We need results.”"

Wrong
The vote in ala proves the southern people would ditch their football interests if it goes against the patriots and goes for the abortion party

The southern people will go against any thing that is pro abortion and that is the democrat party and Saban who played politics against the patriots for the democrat party

The whole SEC will lose billions of dollars for not firing Saban on the spot

I really don't care about the NFL but I do worry about the NCAA. They look like they're doing their best to blow a good thing too. The old adage, dumb football player, is coming back into style. These athletes better put this imaginary systemic racism BS behind them before they go too far and it's impossible to come back. MAGA

I remember the good ol days when we'd have a bad week if the cowboys lost. The whole metroplex was behind them. Then jerry jones, lots of criminals and everything the Dims touch eventually turns to shit and dies. I don't know one cowboys fan in dallas now. Not one. I'd rather play golf anyway.

Some guys don't have big screens. Some guys are traveling. Some guys watch on their desktop, tablets or phones. NFL ratings are just fine and the NFL could care less whether you watch or not ... Dear :)
