"Examination Day" episode of Outer Limits comes to mind. Disturbs me to this day because it didn't explain why the kid was killed. Was his IQ too high or too low? Could go either way. If a society narrowly escaped self-annihilation because of smart people inventing horrible weapons, could see it culling out the high IQ types, on the other hand, could see them culling the too-low IQ ones as well reflecting an advanced dystopian society.
