This isn't a great movie, but it is an interesting take on where AI may be headed: An attractive "female" robot is purchased by the husband/father to take care of family duties while the wife/mother is incapacitated in the hospital. Since he is now the owner, the robot is programmed to protect his "well-being" at all costs. This leads to extreme measures taken by the robot in this role.
One of the questions raised in my mind is how far should we trust AI in the future? (Even today, would you trust a driverless car to take your children to school?) As AI gathers more information about you, should it be able to override your bad decisions?
