The question was, how do you draw the conclusion that a person contemplating being a mass shooter would decide not to kill anyone if he couldn’t get his hands on a weapon like an AR-15?

What does the AR15 sporting rifle have to do with mass shootings?
Does it force people to commit violence?
Will banning firearms stop mass killings altogether?
Bombs/vehicles are the weapons of choice for terrorists in the Middle East and they have access to anything they want for killing. What makes you think the banning of firearms in this country will stop mass killings. Just because they don’t have access to ARs doesn’t mean they don’t want to kill somebody or a bunch of people. People of the sort will kill by whatever means necessary no frivolous gun laws, no gun free zones, no bleeding hearts are gonna stop them from what they are Eventually going to do, except for someone confronting them on the site.
