Stopping Sprawl And Saving Your Community From Leftist Influences

Liberal policies are what really causes the Suburban Subdivisions to flourish.

Libs allow their cities to rage out of control with crime and other problems like people camping and crapping on the sidewalks.

As a result, people seek refuge in the suburbs where they can have their own government and don't have to be concerned. Just remember not to wear their gucci loafers if they find themselves in the local urban hell hole.
I think it is just the opposite. Urban areas are where young people want to live and they drive up real estate prices there. If you want to raise your family in more than an apartment you have to leave those highly desirable, urban areas.

The problem for the Right is that their ideology generally conflicts with urban living. People in cities depend on gov't services, like mass transit, and are willing to pay for them.

I didn't find that to be the case at all. For many years, I lived in the urban core of a major US metropolis- Youngstown, Ohio.

My home only cost $30.000, and I enjoyed the ample parking.

But it was really a bit sketchy with pimps and hoes and dope pushers around. Not a place for a family at all, although it didn't bother me because it was popularly priced.

But I wouldn't have thought about raising children there.

Major? Not really the kind of city I was talking about.

At the 2020 census, Youngstown had a city population of 60,068, making it the 11th largest city in Ohio. It is a principal city of the Youngstown–Warren metropolitan area, which had a population of 541,243 in 2020, making it the seventh-largest metro area in Ohio and 107th-largest metro area in the United States.

Do you think the right doesn’t support urban sprawl? Lol.
Fuck yeah they do, it's the gop lawyers/realtors representing the likes of Ryan Homes that are behind it all.

Just what I described is the same all across Virginia. The gop paves the way for transplant development then wonders years later why they get voted out of power.......Greed > Party.

If one bothers to dig down you will always find a former (even current) member of a town or county board of supervisors involved.

The guy involved with Ryan was actually voted out of office when his connection was found out but I guess he figured he had the votes....He got two to go along with him....I'll be working to get shed of them and replace them with slower growth non-lawyer folks.

Youngstown was granted an NFL franchise beginning in the 1922 season, so its a little bit more significant than you think.

The city has an extensive public transportation segment of city buses as well as a pretty fair share of Leftards.

The difference is the left would want 142 Section 8 multi-family units.....Both sides suck.
I don’t believe that. The Ds like the Rs are paid off by the same people. Big developers and builders don’t like building Section 8 housing because it’s not as profitable.

I'm happy to say that the citizens in my town came together last evening and stopped another attempt from Ryan Homes and a local greedy lawyer (and former gop town council member) to stop dead a proposed 142 home subdivision on 42 acres.

Over the past 30 years this and adjacent parcels (about 600 acres total) have been the target of "big city" builders and their local mouthpieces trying to extend NOtVA sprawl out into the hinterlands. Each attempt has been stopped cold so far.

By right they can build on 1 acre but they want high density to maximize profit. The one in the pic does not seem like much by itself but as sure as gawd made little green apples were it approved there would be 10+ more just like it when the owners of the adjacent properties sold....Hell, local lawyers and realtors already own half of them.

Believe me the 400K+ a pop homes that were proposed were not meant for the local population but for the liberal transplants that would think nothing of the 50 to 60 mile commute into NOtVA/DC.

Thing is you have to stand on those greedy assholes with both feet if you want to keep your community somewhat free of transplant influences when you are so close to a population center..

LOL....Since the proposal got torpedoed I suspect there will be another round of selling of the properties to another batch of lawyers and realtors like it is every time a proposal gets nixed. ;)

HOW DARE THEY do what they wish with THEIR OWN PROPERTY! ! ! !

Damn their eyes.
YOUR delicate NIMBY sensitivities and shouts trump liberty and property rights across the country.
And you wonder why housing prices are so high.......

I suggest that every NIMBY at a town hall meeting should have their own home bulldozed down and returned to native habitat, for the rabbits and rats and snakes.

They can build a home on one acre by right, and that is as far as their property rights extend by law.

Sorry but they also can't start-up a pig farm on the same 42 acres within the town limits though I would support the rezoning for the effort....Stinkin' pigs would be far better than liberal transplants. ;)

I think the message here is Trump voters cannot afford homes in a brand new housing development, and on that, you are probably correct. So I'll give you credit for implying that a new subdivision is going to be a "leftist influence"

Actually,
Urban sprawl is due to legislative changes in the criminal code and overly aggressive adistrict attorneys.

Anyone who has ever been convicted of a sex crime (or certain drug charges) of any sort (includes such mild things as having porn on your phone that a child accidentally sees) has to move away from daycares and schools by a certain physical distance. (I can't remember the distance because I have never fallen afoul of these laws)
So...these people have to move out to the country...can't stay inside the city limits because they would be too physically close to a school.

They gotta live and work somewhere even if it isn't urban. Next thing you know the suburbs are inadvertently growing. Years and years of minor convictions causing it by people who get lifetime labels for being stupid. (More often than people like to admit)
Then comes the developers...Doctor and Ryan and a plethora of names. Don't forget the housing shortage and urban flight during the pandemic.
Which then causes new schools and daycares to be built in the suburbs....which causes the "stupid" people to move again a bit further out. And the cycle continues again and again.

NIMBYs never give a damn about "the law." They/you want what they/you want. The hell with "greedy developers".
Is there any other kind, really? YOU'RE not greedy, are you. NOOOOO. You want to work for less. So kind of you.
