Studied some of his TV adwork in college.
My fave....
Jeno's had a very lucrative thing going with their Pizza Rolls biz, and masterful greedy corporate guys in charge wanted more, so they eyed the Chinese frozen egg roll market as a target for invasion and, bingo, Jeno's Egg Rolls was born.
Freberg's TV spot opened with a long shot, a distant oblong table around which a group of guys, all dressed in long white lab coats, hovered about, their eyes drawn to whatever was on the table. As the camera slowly zooms in you can make out they're picking something off the table and putting it in their mouths, they're actually eating something!
And the accompanying voiceover says something like, "Nine out of ten doctors surveyed prefer Jeno's Egg Rolls over any other brand."
And old Stan left it to the audience, the astute ones at least, to realize 9 of the 10 onscreen "doctors" were Asians. (Actually, Orientals in those days.)
