'Staggering Incompetence'; Critics Rip Trump Admin After US Shoots Down It's Own Drone

Your link..

More than $7.1 billion in U.S.-funded military equipment was in the possession of the Afghan government when it fell to the Taliban in August 2021 amid the withdrawal, according to a Defense Department report published last August. Though more than half of it was ground vehicles, it also included more than 316,000 weapons worth almost $512 million, plus ammunition and other accessories.

Țhanks for proving my point
It was there because xiden left it when he surrendered in the middle of the night

Your vote did that

I am not aware that Trump is the triggerman. Looks like another leftist meltdown after OD on TDS.

Are you just stupid or are you just spreading more lies?

Both Trump and Biden ( along with Bush and Obama) maintained a strategy of building an Afghan Army using US equipment to eventually fend off the Taliban.

THAT is the equipment the Taliban seized.
NO amount of withdrawal of US military equipment was going to change that

Now you are just plain ignorant.
The agreement signed in Doha, Qatar, which followed more than a year of stop-and-start negotiations and conspicuously excluded the American-backed Afghanistan government, is not a final peace deal, is filled with ambiguity, and could still unravel.

Says the "expert" on global strategy.

Another 5 page or so back and forth with Moroner.
We spent decades and many billions and couldn't build a government that could survive more than a few days without us.

Be pragmatic.

The issue here you keep ignoring is xiden surrendered in the middle of the night

Ignoring a peace plan

Leaving US equipment, and weapons behind, which terrorist used around the world

Blood is on xiden’s hands and all that voted for that incompetent leadership

It didn’t help that xiden surrendered our base and equipment to the Taliban

I don't see this as anything to do with Trump but would put this in the category of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing. Communication between agencies is the key. It is especially irksome in situations where instead of cooperation there is finger pointing with folks putting the emphasis on protecting their own turf.

Paywall.

Also the Taliban stopped following the agreement during 2021 yet Biden continued the withdrawal.

And yet this thread bitches about one drone shot down by accident.

My retort stands.

I included the quote that is most relevant since I know you can't afford to subscribe to real journalism.

There never was any deal between the Afghan government and the Taliban and the Taliban wasn't following the deal well before Biden came into office.

Comparing the difficulty with nation building and the difficulty in not shooting down our own drones is particularly idiotic.

Not one penny of my money will go to the Times.

And then Biden still left.

Again, I am referencing this as compared to Skews going nanners over one drone shot down by accident.

My point still stands.
