Everyone has a right to defend themselves. What you are saying is that the couple does not. Are they bad people? Did they do things wrong to other people in their past and present? The protesters have been doing rioting. If people get nervous they will do things. The protesters have some grievances. They moved out of their confines. They moved to other neighborhoods. The Prog political class in total control of these areas have done nothing. You would think that there would be massive amounts of conferences with representatives from the African American communities and Law Enforcement and others of interest.

When you run out into the street and start threatening people with guns, fingers on the trigger, that's assault.

Hey, if they are "nervous", there's a solution to that. Actually support real police reform.

Were they in the street or on their property? And where do you come off with that? Also, if they are Progs I give no concern to them. The state and local government shave had many decades to deal with this. They played games and self important Black leaders were involved also. Given huge salaries and cars to prance around in when commissions were started after questionable police tactics. All blue cities have had long term Prog control in all areas. They could have tackled this problem and did not. Again....these governments get a lot of money through their criminal code books. The civil pay their fines, fees and taxes like good little suckers that we are. Eliminate some crimes from the code and lower the fees and fines. Auto insurance and the penalties is a joke. What I have learned is ...do not move into a totally controlled Prog political area. The truly entitled.

Drag things out until the defendants are bankrupt, and tell them if they don't plead guilty, they're looking at 300 years.
