Now that he has the “special master” he requested to deal with the documents he hoarded at Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump is already finding reasons to object to the process. Specifically, Trump’s legal team is refusing to talk about whether, or how, Trump actually tried to declassify any of the documents by claiming it would harm their “defense to the merits of any subsequent indictment.”

In other words, they’re saying that if they reveal that Trump didn’t declassify any documents, that could subject him to legal action for stealing and holding highly classified information. Which he did. And if Trump claims he did declassify documents, then he’ll have to prove that in court, and also be subject to possible charges over failure to follow the law regarding declassification. Plus, there’s the whole perjury issue—and the issue of Trump obstructing an investigation—that comes with lying about the whole thing.

On top of this, the special master wants this whole thing wrapped up quickly. Trump objects, because that’s the last thing he wants. And finally, the special master wants to know something that’s been bothering everyone: Why is this thing in front of him instead of being dealt with by the court that issued the search warrant in the first place?

At first I wondered where you could have acquired such mythos. Then I saw daily kos.

Doesn't the whole thing have to be wrapped up by November 1?

The FBI/DOJ's intent was to damage Trump's reputation, which would bring down support for the Republican party before this coming election. Now there's becoming a better chance that can happen as the 'special master' (chuckle) starts to turn sour on Trump.

As Trump's popularity declines, the FBI/DOJ will face less risk of an uprising when Trump is charged for his crimes.

None of this is going to stop the investigation and bringing charges against Trump. That continues to hinge on Trump's popularity and his ability to cause rioting and deaths of many Americans on the streets.

Trump's in legal jeopardy whether the documents were declassified or not.

We are waiting for John McCain to back up the voters. Liebermann conned him well.

With a totally corrupt government what do you expect?

Come on Donald, cough it up. After all the talk about de-classified documents your supporters are chomping at the bit for the truth.

I bet you are chomping, but it is not for the truth. Most likely for your daily shot of protein.

Lefties found a "Daily Kos" op-ed about the former president by somebody named Mark Summer and they think it's important enough to discuss in the political forum. Meanwhile everyone who saw the president stutter his way through a 60 Minutes "interview" wonders what the hell he was talking about with his "fly" comment. Is he worse mentally than we thought? Should we concentrate on Trump while the freaking Country goes down the drain under the "leadership" of a doddering old fool?

Don't be so dumb. Damn near every major source has a story on this topic. Dearie is asking for info and Trump's lawyers are balking. Spend some time getting informed instead of poo-pooing everything that bothers you. The truth.

I believe we'll see in a week or so whether Trump wants to fold his hand or continue to up the ante.

His ego can't stand rejection.

If the stolen and missing top secret documents don't do the job of damaging his popularity more than it already has, nothing will. The FBI/DOJ have found the perfect scheme that will resonate with the American people.

Espionage is being hinted and could be charged. If so, they'll find the third party to be Russia.

Trump's time to be strong and vocal is now. If he's going to stay his course, it will be evident sooner than next week.

President Trump doesn't owe the neo-groomers a fuckin' thing.

To the brownshirts: Prove the documents were classified. And then prove you didn't masturbate in Barron's closet while wearing Melania's lipstick and heels.

This is just a few crumbs for the 2% marginalized fringefucks that can't live in a world with Trump. The other 98% are seeing it for what it is - nazi shit.

trump upset that Special Master not loyal.
The 'special master' nonsense was a longshot for Trump, but something had to be done quickly.

Nobody should be expecting a quick political victory against Trump. Appearances always demand that it has to come incrementally. And besides, the risk of Trump still trying to promote the promised revolution or coup attempt is still a risk.
