Rochester, N.Y. — "The straightforward answer is yes."
Attorney Andrew Celli, appointed by Rochester City Council to investigate Daniel Prude's fateful encounter with police last March and the aftermath surrounding it, says members of city government in Rochester did suppress information regarding what happened.
Prude died on March 30, 2020 - a week after an encounter with police on Jefferson Avenue. Prude was naked and suffering from effects of PCP when officers restrained him.
During the incident, Prude lost consciousness. He never woke up, dying a week later in the hospital.
