SpaceX launch at around 5:30 PM CT 6th March

Don't mix those two up! :p

Actually by lake Tahoe they want the lake water to be so clean the effluent from the wastewater plant basically enters the equivalent of a water treatment plant.

One of the few places where the plant effluent is cleaner than what's in the receiving body of water.

That is true, but that doesn't interest me and he's ridden on the coat tails of true innovators that came before and the computer technology and instrumentation abilities we have are tens of thousands of time beyond what NASA had in the 60s, all that is now off the shelf, mass produced and cheap and none of that is due to Musk, he has contributed zero to the development of semiconductors and computer technology.

WTF! SpaceX's biggest customer is the United States government! NASA in the 50s relied on private companies, Boeing, IBM, McDonnel Douglas and many more.

He's making it more affordable.

Yes, and he provides the rockets and controls the launches. Those companies just made the stuff for NASA.

Good for you, enjoy this then:

The ruling made sense. The rules on trying to control combined sewer overflows in this case were too vague for any treatment operation to actually respond to. SF only fought ONE part of their large permit.

If EPA wants to regulate stormwater overflows, they need to tell the operating agencies what to treat them to, or how much they can discharge, or a combination of the two.

This impacts NOTHING of the operation of SF's wastewater plants, which still have to meet their SPEDES permits.

He's making it more affordable.
How is that in the public interest? how do I benefit from that use of my tax?

Right and all he's doing is launching rockets and watching them come down again. Not taking a man to the moon and bringing him back, if he can't prove he can do that he has no business mouthing off about mars FFS.

No, I thought he was a fake many years ago when he was a democrat supporter prior to 2022.

I'll have to defer, I don't have time to look for opposing scientific opinions so I'll have to defer to you for now.

more comm satellites like Starlink?

Cheaper costs for launching weather and research satellites?

And working on a way to get humans to Mars and maybe beyond.

He's made reusable rockets, which also lowers the cost per launch.

What a pathetic loser you are.
You need to realize that not only do they hate Musk because he has money but because he is involved with Trump.
In the 1800s people would never have thought that men would actually be walking on the moon. Now people have a hard time envisioning people on Mars.
It was extremely expensive for the government to put people into orbit and on the moon because congress had to get involved, oversight committees had to be involved. There were an over abundance of supervisors in NASA.
Many innovations came about because of the space program.
While true that a large number of republicans thought that the high costs of space exploration were too much it was not because they were against it they were against the excess spending caused by government oversight. A lot of democrats were also against it because it took too much money away from their pet projects such as welfare

Dude, it was SAN FRANCISCO suing saying the EPA went to far, not some Conservative State/City combo.

I'm an electronics engineer and software designer, I first encountered Musk when he took over the Tesla car company and it was soon clear he had no technical prowess, he was just a venture capitalist, investor. Take a look at people locked out of their Tesla's they can't get into their cars FFS and people buy them??

he has a BA in physics and a BS in economics.

Physics isn't a science degree?

I've worked with Engineers that got their bachelors in a science and then got a Masters in Engineering.

There are a bunch of private space companies. The industry is really starting to hit its stride.

I don't need one.
Cheaper costs for launching weather and research satellites?
Only to then ignore what the data says? yes, that sounds intelligent.
And working on a way to get humans to Mars and maybe beyond.
Why?
He's made reusable rockets, which also lowers the cost per launch.
These would have been made years ago if the market had existed then, until there wasn't a demand (fueled by satellite use) for that it wasn't worth the investment cost. Investing in building a reusable launch system for a few launches a year is not cost effective.

Ten a penny and he also caved after two days on his PhD program.

Me too, but that ain't Musk.

Which ones?

More generalizations you can't back up.
I don't know Chachi. I don't remember you from the other ones. I only remember you all felt space travel was a waste of time. When we have the debt we have. You guys said better to put that money towards the debt.

Now, it's better to go to Mars than pay off the debt. You've changed.
