Nah.....Missed by a couple generations.

Warner Brothers definitely had a lot going for itself. I particularly liked Duck Dodgers in the 24th 1/2 Century!
But the real kingpin of cartoons on pure animation skill , quality and humor has to be the original B&W Popeyes of the 1930s.
Actually based on real people.
