I can understand Canada and the EU going far left but South Korea being on the front line of communist tyranny it boggles the mind.
They could just unify with North Korea .. problem solved, and then they'll realize how nicely they had it.

Conceding South Korea to the Stalinists would please the enemies of freedom all over the world from north korea to iran, russia and china

But it will affect the whole world not just south korea

If that is God’s will so be it

Heaven knows the world deserves punishment for our sins

But I hope it wont happen now

It’s been on the Anti Colonialist Marxist Far Left & Lefts radar for 50 + Years ( after all it was a Colony of Japan at one time

The US has been protecting South Korea for seven decades. Long past time to cut the cord.

All of that is obsolete. Cultural Marxism has replaced geo-political-military conflict.

Wrong

South korea is important to America’s national defense

If that is the choice of the Korean people, so be it. I think though at the real threat of becoming like North Korea, they will come to their senses.

Not allies who demand we defend them
Yes, allies that help us help them

What happens to us if South Korea falls to communist china?

We will be behind the 8-ball and a much weaker nation

Hopefully isolationists in America and pandering libs in South Korea will come to their senses before its too late

The Democratic Party of Korea is not a far-left party. It is sympathetic to North Korea only because the DPK traditionally promotes pan-Korean nationalism, while the right-wing PPP is much less patriotic.

The Democratic Party of Korea is also anti-gay. Most DPK lawmakers are socially conservative and they oppose anti-discrimination laws that prohibit discrimination against LGBTQ people and immigrants.

The Democratic Party's LGBT+ policy is more conservative than CDU.[73] Because of this, some left-leaning researchers have placed the party more right-wing than Western European conservative parties.[74] Also, many members of the Democratic Party, such as Lee Hae-chan, Moon Jae-in, and Lee Jae-myung, define the party's de facto identity as 'true conservative', 'moderate conservative' or 'centre-right'.[75][76] In his book titled 1219 The end is beginning, Moon Jae-in writes, "it is only a backward political reality unique to South Korea that political forces which are centre-right in nature are attacked for being left-wing."[77]

Agreed. South Korea can certainly afford to use their own military.
