Is it really worth the extra ? Isnt the thing about bread that it is bland ? its what you put in it that matters. Nowadays you cant buy a loaf without is containing honey and walnuts and covered with sesame seeds.
Most of it tastes the same to me but I must admit that industrial bread sliced and packed is a bit depressing.
 
I love sourdough, and found someone who bakes it locally. Also, don't buy your breads already sliced, sometimes you want a thicker slice or maybe a thin slice. I cut them different thickness and then throw them in the freezer.

But go around 18.00 to 19.00 and you get the same for 10p to 20 pence each .Most times .
Buy enough for fridge (2) and 2 or3 for the freezer , if that amount is available .

Above is Asda . Pidl range good but not as adventurous .
