You people were literally just saying Harris needed to add justices to the court in order to pack the court if she won. Now it's beyond the pale that individual justices would decide when to retire and doing so is somehow "packing the court"?They are already using those exact words on hate radio.
I heard it. Not sure which station. Don't believe it if you don't want to.Cite / copy / paste?
According to the calendar they arent in session much between now and Jan 8.It can be -- but the Senate only has until the new Congress is sworn in to get confirmation -- 2 JAN, I think.
Yeah, but they can call a session whenever they want.According to the calendar they arent in session much between now and Jan 8.
if that's all you got, I don't have any reason to believe it.I heard it. Not sure which station. Don't believe it if you don't want to.

Seems I don't care.if that's all you got, I don't have any reason to believe it.
True... but look where they are.I can't see Sotomayor stepping down while Trump is in office. She'd have to be dead first, or damn near. And if Thomas and/or Alito decide to retire, they better do it in Trump's 1st 2 years cuz there's a good chance the dems take back the Senate in 2026. That's cuz the GOP has a ton more seats at risk then than the dems do.
∆∆∆∆∆ How to say pack the court without saying "pack the court."
No, because the Republicans will not allow a vote to replace her, as they can still filibuster her replacement's nomination. She will continue to hang on and likely die in office like Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Then Trump will nominate his 4th SC justice. She's ill and known to not be happy on the bench.
What do you think?
Will she leave the bench while Biden can still replace her?
Should she be pushed, like Biden was?
She won't leave unless health reasons or something similar force her to. There's no time between now and Inauguration Day to get a new justice in place and Americans will see it for what it is.
Of course it is.Bullshit. Replacing a justice with another justice is not packing the court, and I think you know that. Packing the court is when you add however many new and extra judges so that your side has a majority.
Why?Doubt it.
She might. But you know, once they get that power it's tough for them to let go.She's ill and known to not be happy on the bench.

Six and a half. Roberts can be a wild card sometimes.Seven conservative justices would be great.
"We need......"Not happening. We need to get Ruthie out. That can be done. The rest is a pipe dream
